Audas will set targets and objectives for the improvement of environmental management and will publish details of its environmental performance.

All employees have a role to play in care of the environment.

Audas has appointed a director to be responsible for environmental issues, and environmental responsibilities are allocated to each individual throughout the business.

This policy will be subject to periodic review to ensure it continues to meet environmental requirements.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

The Policy of Audas is to conduct its operations in an environmentally sustainable manner in order to protect the environment for future generations.

In implementing its policy Audas will seek, through our operations, to ensure:

  1. Compliance with relevant environmental legislation and regulation
  2. Prevention of pollution
  3. The efficient use of natural resources
  4. The minimisation of waste and emissions to air and water
  5. Environmental awareness of all employees
  6. Effective monitoring of environmental performance
  7. Continual improvement in environmental performance
  8. Understand and commit to our clients environmental policies

We are totally committed and continually striving for improvement and prevention of environmental impact and actively encourage our staff to do the same.

We are trying to reduce our Carbon footprint in the following ways:

  • We are measuring and setting targets for eco miles for all our employees. This has been done by using public transport and car sharing. As well as encouraging home working where possible. Last year 23,312 eco miles. 2009 target  is 30,000miles
  • Laptops issued to site managers mean documentation and management systems can be filled in electronically, no paper required
  • Our clients are encouraged to use environmentally friendly products,
  • We monitor all our waste generated on site and set challenging targets. In 2008 we achieved 80% and we are targeting 90% for 2009
